What color love is? I asked myself while I was painting Dave 's drawing who kindly accepted this virtual cooperation.I have no answer to this but hopefully the roughness of my watercolour brush did not interfere too much into the elegance of this artist's distinctive sketch.

Did you ever had the brilliant idea of asking a drawing during a comics festival?well I did...I've waited 7 [yes seven] hours in a queue for a drawing .Worthed of course.Once I've got there Alary was very kind and gifted me with a great drawing.
That was the first time I did it.I can assure you,the last one as well!

Avete mai avuto la bella idea di fare la fila per un disegno d'autore durante un festival di fumetti?ecco io si,ed ho aspettato la bellezza di 7[si sette]ore in fila per un disegno.Ne e' valsa la pena naturalmente Alary e' stato molto gentile.Ma sara'la prima e l'ultima volta....

the FTPD series
Born in Australia at YGfilm studio this series was mocking the tv series"X files".Known in Italy as
Dipartimento Polizia delle Favole was distributed in many countries.Initially the character design,to whom I was the supervisor, was much more gothic and as the tales charaters were all some kind of criminals,my concept design wasn't the sweetest one.[Well,none of my c.design is,anyway...]The series aired on tv showed a much more conventional type of design that was clearly not my own even tough I 've mantained the supervision.

Perche'queste immagini sono tratte dal primo corto che fu commissionato al mio amico e collega Davide Benvenuti con il quale realizzammo questo film agli albori della nostra carriera.Mi parlera'ancora dopo questo?
Richiesto per un meeting di informatica ci fu chiesto di integrare immagini di maiali e sesso vario per strane connessioni[a loro dire]con il linguaggio informatico.
Internet muoveva allora i primi passi.Che fosse una profezia tra sesso e tecnologia?
Io mi occupai del Character design e dei layout e scenografie[capirai..]mentre a Davide si deve l'animazione ,il timing e il pregio di avere mantenuto i personaggi sempre a modello.La parte piu'divertente fu senz'altro in sala di doppiaggio,quando io e Davide ci trovammo faccia a faccia di fronte al microfono e all' ingegnere del suono dall'altra parte del vetro e non so quanti retakes abbiamo fatto nel tentativo di doppiare maiali,papere,pesci e ..alberi[si avete letto bene,alberi]che....cercando di rimanere seri....

Because this is the first short film commissioned to me and my friend and colleague Davide Benvenuti at the dawn of our carreers.Ordered for a convention of High tech wizz was featuring pigs and computer's related language in a strange alchemy.
Internet was just moving his first steps,so I'm asking myself still if computers,pigs and sex where just a prophecy of what would had happen years later.Characters design ,layouts and backgrounds were done by me while Davide was mastering animation and timing .All was done with traditional cells.The funniest part was to perform with Davide the dubbing in the recording room.I don't remember how many times we left the session abrubtly because we laugh our heads off.The many retakes trying to perform voices of mating pigs fish..and trees[yes..trees..]
Well they say that if you want a carreer in movies ......
